Funding

REA’s regulated sources of funding are:

1. Levy and any interest accrued on it. Currently, a 6% electrification levy is charged on all electricity consumers
   
   
2. Moneys appropriated to the Fund by Act of Parliament.
   
   
3. Any loans, donations and grants by any person or authority or by any Government of any country; and Any other monies that may accrue to the Agency whether in terms of the Act or otherwise.
